Oil painting has made me more aware of everything around me, reminding me to slow down and really see and appreciate my surroundings and then turn it into a painting.  I am grateful for that gift and hope to continue  evolving  in my art for the rest of my life.

I was born and raised in Visalia, California, graduated from UC Davis and enjoyed a career as a teacher and mother before embarking on my exploration of oil painting.  I have taken classes at Art Center in Pasadena and workshops from Ken Auster, Debra Huse, Peggy Kroll-Roberts, Carol Marine and Martha Cowan.  Every Friday I get inspiration, advice and friendship from my art collaborative, Studio Buckingham Group.

My work is in public and private collections.  I was awarded 1st place in the 2007 Multi Media Mini Art Show for my painting “Birdwalk”  and recently in 2019 for my painting “Redlands Nocturne”.

Upcoming Events: I’ve been chosen to be the featured artist at the Redlands Festival of Arts this Memorial Day weekend, May  25th and 26th, 2019.  Come see me!
